Convert to LPG and save!

LPG can be up to 70c per litre cheaper than unleaded petrol
The Government does not charge excise tax on LPG. And you really see the difference it can make when you look at the savings over a year. For example, if LPG averaged 66.0 cents per litre, while unleaded petrol averaged 134.0 cents per litre, a typical larger car travelling just 20,000 kilometres a year on LPG would save $1,228 – the equivalent of around $24 per week.
(Based on Wagga Wagga prices Nov 2007)

The good news is the Federal Government will provide a grant of $1,750 toward the cost of an LPG conversion of a new or used motor vehicle.
To be eligible the vehicle must be for private use (not for commercial or business use) and can be any passenger or light commercial vehicle weighing less than 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass, registered in the state of residence of the claimant and must not be subject to a novated lease or salary sacrifice.

You simply pay for the purchase or conversion, then claim back the grant from either a Centrelink or Medicare office. We provide all of the paper work for you to make the claim as painless as possible.

LPG is arguably safer than any other form of fuel used to power motor vehicles. What’s more, LPG tanks are much stronger than conventional petrol tanks, while strict national standards and state government regulations control the installation and use of LPG.

Travel to any major city or town throughout Australia and you’ll find LPG. For example, a motorist driving along the Pacific Highway from Sydney to Brisbane would come across an LPG outlet on average every nine kilometres. In fact, LPG is readily available at more than 3,200 service stations around Australia -and the number is growing constantly.

As well as defending you against the rising price of unleaded, LPG can also help defend the environment. With around 20% less ozone forming potential, between 10% and 15% lower greenhouse gas emissions and one-fifth air toxic emissions, LPG powered vehicles emit significantly fewer pollutants than their petrol-powered equivalents. • Amongst the lowest life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions of all commercially available automotive fuels • Insignificant levels of sulphur dioxide emissions, the main cause of acid rain • Extremely low particulate emissions produced during combustion. The latest LPG injection technologies ensure that LPG provides performance and fuel economy comparable with contemporary petrol powered engines. Recent laws mean that some vehicles need special consideration for LPG conversion. Please ring or go to "Contact Us" and we will be hapy to answer any questions!
